Hook Neighbourhood Plan Submission Consultation

Following consultation on a draft Hook Neighbourhood Plan in November – December 2018 the Parish Council as the ‘qualifying body’ has amended the Plan and now submitted it to Hart District Council.

Hart District Council is now required to carry out further consultation on the Plan. The consultation period is between 1st April and 20th May 2019, and all representations must be made to the District Council as set out below.

Copies of the proposed Hook Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents (including the representation form/procedures to be followed in responding) are available to view on the Hart District Council’s website at www.hart.gov.uk/hook

Hard copies (including representations forms) are also available for inspection during normal opening hours at:

Hart District Council Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet, Hants, GU51 4AE

Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Hook Parish Council Office, Hook Community Centre, Ravenscroft, Hook, RG27 9NN

Opening hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 12:00 pm or by appointment (01256 768687 or 01256 768573)

Please note that representations to the consultation must be made in writing. There are several ways to make your comments:

  • Complete an online form or an electronic representation form (these can be found online at) or set out your comments and email it to: neighbourhoodplanning@hart.gov.uk
  • Print a representation form or write a letter and post it to us at: Neighbourhood Planning, Corporate Policy, Hart District Council, Harlington Way, Fleet, GU51 4AE

Any representation may include a request to be notified of the Council’s decision to ‘make’ the Neighbourhood Development Plan (bring it in to legal force).

Following this six week public consultation, the proposed Plan will be submitted for independent examination. Dependent on the outcome of the examination the Plan will then be subject to a local referendum. If successful, the Hook Neighbourhood Plan will be ‘made’ (bought into legal force) and will form part of the Hart Development Plan and be used in the determination of planning applications relating to land in Hook Parish.

All comments must be received by 4pm on Monday 20th May. Representations after this time will not be accepted.
