Hook Parish Council is a burial authority and owns and maintains Hook Village Garden and Cemetery, located next to St John’s Church, in London Road.

As a burial authority, the Council is responsible for providing facilities for the interment of coffins and ashes.

The cemetery is open to interments for both residents of the Parish and for non-residents. A discounted fee applies for residents of the Parish. Burials are usually arranged via a funeral director but ashes interments can be booked directly through the Council.

All burials and memorials are subject to the current Cemetery Regulations (found below), which include details of the maintenance of grave plots and memorials.

The Cemetery Fees are reviewed every financial year and can be accessed using the link below.

If you require any assistance relating to a burial or the cemetery, please email cemetery@hook.gov.uk or contact the Council Office.

The cemetery does not have its own car parking, but there is a public pay and display car park (Crossways Manor) accessed via Reading Road RG27 9DT next to the Doctor’s Surgery nearby.

The adjacent St John’s churchyard is now closed. For all enquiries about this, please also contact us.
