Administrative Officer – Planning & Infrastructure
20 hours per week
Salary range £24,000 – £31,000, pro rata
(depending on experience and qualifications)
Hook Parish Council is seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer with particular responsibility for processing the Council’s responses to planning applications within Hook and supporting the Planning and Infrastructure Committee.
This important role involves attendance at regular evening meetings (average 2 per month). The successful candidate will be an integral part of a friendly team, including other Officers and Councillors, based at the Parish Council office within Hook Community Centre.
The successful applicant will have good IT skills and a solid administrative background; confident communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as are the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of the Town and Country Planning process will be a distinct advantage, as would previous experience of local authority administration.
