Some of our Councillors (Les Morrision & Barry Myall) have been out today with our Ground Maintenance Team near Bassetts Mead planting the saplings we received from the The Woodland Trust at the end of last year.
This consisted of 30 samplings which are a mixture of Silver Birch, Rowen and Wild Cherry. These trees form part of the Green Canopy for our late Queens’ Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
We would also like to thank Tylney Hall for looking after and tending to our saplings until it was the right time of year to plant them.
