If you live or work in GU11, GU12, GU51 or GU52 postcodes (parts of Fleet, Church Crookham, Aldershot & Ash Vale), additional community testing for people without symptoms is available from until Wed 9 June. Public Health England is carrying out this testing as a precaution, after a small number of confirmed cases of the variant, first found in India, were detected in the area. More information can be found at www.hants.gov.uk/HartRushmoor-testing
Public health guidance remains the same. The best way to limit the spread of variants – and to protect yourself and others from coronavirus – is to:
• Follow hands, face, space – and let in fresh air
• Socialise outdoors if possible
• Work from home if you can
• Make test-record-repeat part of your weekly routine
• Get the vaccine when it’s your turn
