Strawberry Tea

Our Councillors and Community Engagement officer were invited to attend the annual “Strawberry Tea” at Hook Junior School this morning. This event showcases the children’s talents as a way of saying “thank you” to all those that support/help the school, for example by volunteering (parent reading, assisting on school trips, fundraising etc).
We were treated to a number of performances of dance, ballet, singing, and music pieces on guitars, violins and piano from a number of the children from the school, across the year groups. Meanwhile, the prefects looked after us, practicing their serving skills in ensuring all those attending had drinks and food to eat whilst they enjoyed the performances. It was lovely to see the children shine.
