News Bulletin: October 2011

On 16th September residents were invited to Elizabeth Hall to give their views to Hart District Council on the Core Strategy ‘Preferred Approach’. This will become part of the Local Development Framework, which will set out the future housing plans for Hook. The document includes proposals for additional school, medical and retail facilities. In order for the Parish Council to present a response on behalf of Hook, it is imperative we gain the views of residents and a consultation event has been arranged. We would urge as many people as possible to attend.

Come to Hook Community Centre, Ravenscroft, RG27 9NN on Monday 3rd October 2011 from 7.30 – 9.30 pm.

This is your opportunity to view the displays and tell the Parish Council what you think about Hart’s plans for Hook.

The documents can also be viewed online on Hart’s website. Please write or e-mail the Parish Council with your views. Response forms are also available from the Parish Council office. The closing date for comments to Hart on the Hook proposals is 14th October.

From mid/late October there will be cuts to No 10 Bus Service (Odiham to Camberley via Hook). This will affect Hook residents who use the service to Holt Park, Hartley Wintney, Blackwater (Gatwick train) and The Meadows. If you, or anyone you know, use the service we want to hear your views on how this will affect you. If you don’t use it we would like to know why not? What service do you need? The message is USE IT OR LOSE IT. Please contact the Clerk with your views.

Information and notices about important issues for Hook residents can be found on our own and various other noticeboards around Hook, on our website, Facebook and Twitter. To receive such information directly, sign up for Hook Announcements. Information on this service and how to join can be found on our website.
