Night Road Works

Don’t forget a parking suspension will be in place for the parking bays fronting Hook Tandoori through to Hook Fish & Chips on Monday and night time traffic lights all week on Station road.
As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, they will be undertaking drainage cleansing on Station Road and B3349 Griffin Way South (including roundabout between), from A30 London Road to the roundabout with M3 junction 5.
The works are programmed as follows:
• Mon 1st to Weds 3rd August – Works on Station Road – Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between the hours of 20:00 – 06:00hrs each night.
The road will be open outside of these hours.
Whilst every effort is made to adhere to the published programme dates there may be times when they have to postpone works at very short notice, e.g. because of poor forecasted weather. They will always endeavour to provide you with up to date information, but sometimes these last minute decisions can be difficult to relay to residents and road users in a timely manner. The dates will be updated on the yellow sign boards located at each end of the site so the travelling public and local residents are aware.
Please be aware any vehicles left parked on the road that prevent the works taking place, face the risk of being removed. A parking suspension will be in place for the parking bays fronting Hook Tandoori through to Hook Fish & Chips on Monday 1st August 2022.
They are aware of the issues created by night working and will endeavour to keep noise levels reduced whenever possible.
Following this work, they will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing currently proposed for August 2022. They will confirm the dates in due course.
