Recent spate of burglaries – crime prevention
There has been a spate of domestic and commercial burglaries in the area over the summer. The police believe the thieves were passing through several local communities, including Hook. Please remain vigilant and ensure you secure your property and vehicles. If you witness an incident or see something suspicious, please report it to 101. Any information reported will enable the local Beat Team to target its patrols appropriately.
Members of the Parish Council attend the Quarterly Policing Meetings. These meetings influence policing priorities for the next quarter, so if there is an ongoing issue that you would like the Parish Council to take to these meetings, please contact the Council office.
For more information on securing your property please go to https://www.police.uk/crime-prevention-advice/burglary/. Also consider, registering your valuables with the national tagging service called ‘Immobilise’ at https://www.immobilise.com. This assists the police in returning any stolen property recovered to its rightful owner.
