Hook Neighbourhood Plan Referendum – Result

Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and vote in the Hook Neighbourhood Plan Referendum yesterday.

The count has taken place and the results are as follows:

1937 people voted (which is a 31% turnout)
1861 Yes Votes
75 No votes
1 spoiled paper

The plan will now go to Hart District Council in November for adoption as Planning Policy.

Jane Worlock, Chairman of Hook Parish Council, said, “I am delighted that 96% of residents who turned out to vote, said a resounding ‘Yes’ to the adoption of Hook’s Neighbourhood Plan. My sincere thanks, on behalf of Hook Parish Council, go to both the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group who worked tirelessly to write the Plan document and to the office staff at the Parish Council who organised a fantastic publicity campaign encouraging the community to vote for a say in Hook’s future”
