Festive Bin Collection Changes

Bin Collections – Due to the Bank Holidays your bin collection day will change for one week only after Christmas Day

The changes are:
Monday 26th December moves to Tuesday 27th December
Tuesday 27th December moves to Wednesday 28th December
Wednesday 28th December moves to Thursday 29th December
Thursday 29th December moves to Friday 30th December
Friday 30th December moves to Saturday 31st December

Then from 2nd January 2023, unless adverse weather affects bin rounds, collections should return to your normal collection day.

Garden waste collections will pause for two weeks from 24 December 2022 to 9 January 2023.

The crews will take extra rubbish sacks on the FIRST collection after Christmas ONLY and, as usual, they will pick up extra recycling too.

There is no limit on the amount residents can recycle and any extra recycling that cannot fit in the recycling bin can be put into clear sacks next to it for collection. In dry weather, residents can leave large, flattened, cardboard boxes (max 1m x 1m) next to their recycling bin but polystyrene and plastic packaging must be removed and placed in your Black Refuse Bin. Christmas wrapping paper cannot be recycled and needs to go in your Black Refuse Bin. Christmas cards can be recycled but only if they do not contain glitter, ribbons or bows.
