Burglaries in Hook

Hook has fallen victim to domestic burglaries more frequently. These have most recently been occurring in the afternoon between 4pm and 6pm.

Police have asked us to remind residents to take sensible precautions as a deterrent:

  • Have indoor lights on timers indoors
  • Lock doors, windows and side gates
  • Lock external doors with a key, even if you are in the house
  • Use outdoor sensor controlled lighting

More information on protecting your property can be found at https://www.police.uk/crime-prevention-advice/burglary/

Also consider, registering your valuables with the national tagging service called ‘Immobilise’ at https://www.immobilise.com. This assists the police in returning any stolen property recovered to its rightful owner.
