Below is our Draft response to the Hart Local Plan 2011 – 2032.  Please be aware that this is our Draft response.  Unless we make any changes to this response, it will be submitted to Hart District Council on Thursday 8th June 2017.  Please let us know if you have any comments prior to this date.

Please Note: The Parish Council response to Hart District Council only counts as ONE response.  In order to strengthen Hook residents views, we need as many residents as possible to respond to Hart District Council with their views before the closing date of 5pm 9th June 2017.

Due to ongoing discussions with the District Councillors representing Hook, the Parish Council has requested clarification of certain additional points which relate to its draft response to Hart’s Local Plan. Therefore, pursuant to receiving this clarification, we will publish the Parish Council’s draft response on this page on Monday, 22nd May, not on Thursday, 18th May (as previously stated).

HART LOCAL PLAN CONSULTATIONS MAY 2017

You will have received a leaflet through your door advising you of a consultation event that was held on Tuesday 2nd May 2pm – 8pm. This was an event run by Hart District Council to discuss all aspects of the Hart Local Plan. On Sunday 7th May we (Hook Parish Council) hosted an event at Elizabeth Hall explaining how the Hart Local Plan would affect Hook residents.

There are two further opportunities for you to see what the Hart Local Plan means for Hook residents.

  • The display boards from our event can be view in the foyer of the Hook Community Centre until the end of the consultation on the 9th June.
  • Prior to the Annual Village Meeting 24th May at Hook Community Centre, our staff will be available for you to ask any questions and view the display between 7pm – 8:30pm, when the formal meeting starts. Your response to the current draft Local Plan Consultation is essential if you wish to share your views on the further development of Hook. Previous responses to earlier consultations will not be taken into account.

Once adopted, this Plan will become Planning Policy until 2032. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your say.

In view of the publication of Hart’s Local Plan, your Parish Council will hold separate consultations specific to any issues that directly affect Hook.

The first of these will be on Sunday 7th May at Elizabeth Hall between 11am – 4pm. The second chance will be on 24th May at the Community Centre between 7pm – 8pm, prior to the Annual Village meeting.

The information will also be displayed outside the Parish Council Reception from the 8th May.

Hart District Council (HDC) have released the Hart Local Plan today. Please go to https://www.hart.gov.uk/draft-local-plan to review.

Hart are holding a consultation on the Local Plan on Tuesday 2nd May 2pm – 8pm at Hook Community Centre. It is a drop-in consultation where you can view the plan and ask the District Council staff questions.

You have until 5pm on Friday 9 June 2017 to submit your comments to HDC.
